Inspired by the wild spirit of the Las Culturistas Culture Awards, this breakfast burger mashes up the iconic Egg McMuffin, the indulgence of a Filet Mignon, and a loving nod to Korean food—all in one award-worthy sandwich. A juicy beef patty is topped with a crispy cheddar hash crown, a runny egg, and a punchy gochujang mayo that brings dinner, breakfast, and late-night chaos together. This is the burger you order at brunch because you ‘heard the burger is really good here’—Instagrammable, deeply personal, and utterly universal.
Ingredients
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, gochujang, honey, and soy sauce. Whisk until smooth and set aside for flavors to meld.
  2. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add 1/2 tbsp butter. Add hash browns in 4 even mounds, pressing gently to flatten. Sprinkle with salt. Cook 3-4 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Top each with cheddar cheese, let melt. Set aside on paper towels.
  3. Shape ground beef into 4 loose patties, slightly larger than buns. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Heat a cast iron or heavy skillet over medium-high. Add vegetable oil, then burgers. Cook 3-4 minutes per side for medium, pressing slightly. Top with a little more cheddar if desired. Rest patties 2 minutes.
  4. Wipe skillet. Toast brioche buns cut side down with remaining butter until golden.
  5. Fry eggs sunny side up or over easy, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. To assemble, spread gochujang mayo on both sides of buns. Layer with arugula, tomato, burger patty, cheesy hash crown, fried egg, and scallions. Top with bun. Serve immediately, letting the yolk run down like the most chaotic awards show moment.
