Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the high-protein pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  5. Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5-6 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Add cooked pasta to the skillet with the turkey sauce. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
  7. Stir in chopped parsley and adjust seasoning to taste.
  8. Divide pasta among plates, sprinkle with grated Parmesan and extra parsley. Serve hot.
