CrushedLemon1034
This Greek-inspired tofu marinade captures the essential flavors of the Mediterranean—bright lemon, aromatic herbs, and fruity olive oil—infusing tofu with a zesty, savory complexity. The Dijon and red wine vinegar provide depth and tang, while fresh parsley adds a vibrant finish. Use this marinade for grilling, baking, or pan-searing tofu, and pair it with classic sides like Greek salad, roasted vegetables, or warm pita bread. It's a versatile, bold, and easy way to elevate plant-based proteins to Greek taverna level.
Ingredients
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, garlic, oregano, thyme, rosemary, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and lemon zest until well combined.
  2. Gently fold in the chopped parsley.
  3. Add the tofu cubes to a large resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the tofu, ensuring all sides are coated.
  4. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (ideally 2 hours or overnight for maximum flavor), occasionally turning the tofu to marinate evenly.
  5. Remove tofu from marinade (reserve excess marinade if desired).
  6. Cook tofu as desired: grill, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, or pan-sear until golden and crisp.
  7. Garnish with extra parsley before serving. Serve with your favorite Greek accompaniments.
