Ingredients
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine bread flour, yeast, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil. Mix until rough dough forms.
  2. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface for 8 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Place in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  3. Preheat oven to 500°F (or as hot as yours goes). Place a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet on the middle rack to heat.
  4. Punch down dough, then stretch or roll out on a floured surface to a 12-inch round. Transfer to a parchment-lined pizza peel or baking sheet.
  5. Brush dough lightly with olive oil. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over sauce. Add pepperoni or your favorite toppings.
  7. Slide pizza (with parchment) onto the hot stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  8. Remove from oven. Let cool 2 minutes, then garnish with basil leaves if desired. Slice and serve.
